2nd man charged in Kingston slaying

CALGARY (CBC) – A second person has been charged with murder in the death of a Kingston, Ont., man whose body was found in a ravine in February.ADVERTISEMENT

Ryan Joseph Matte, 35, of Kingston, Ont., was to appear in court Saturday for a bail hearing after being arrested 6 p.m. Friday, Kingston police reported. He was charged with first-degree murder in the death of 53-year-old Allan Mott.

David Pereira Amorim, 30, is also charged in Mott’s death. Amorim lived in the same building as Mott.

Mott’s mother called police on Jan. 21, saying that her son had been missing for several weeks. His body was found on Feb. 1 on the north side of Station Road in Kingston, near Highway 401.
