Re: Visible minority immigrants earn less, by Mary Caton, Nov. 21.
What a startling discovery, Professor Reza Nakhaie!
If you are an immigrant, with no skills, do not know the language or Canadian laws and regulations, do you expect to be given a $100,000 a year job and expect to earn the same as established Canadians?
I firmly believe that Canada treats its immigrants more than fairly and is very generous in helping them integrate into Canadian society.
Unfortunately, many of them show no desire in changing their way of life once here and show complete disregard for our laws and regulations. In fact, they insist that we change our way of life to accommodate theirs.
Sadly, we are changing our established ways to the detriment and displeasure of Canadians who embrace and love this country. I say this must stop!
I say to those immigrants who show disrespect to Canada and our way of life, you are free to return where you came from and live as you wish. We do not need or want you if you cannot accept our laws and way of life.
Also, before we allow more immigrants in, let us take care the many needy Canadian citizens — especially in Windsor, with the highest unemployment rate in Canada — and let us be more selective and better screening of those we allow in.
