Canadian police search for suspect after shooting at Ontario night club

MISSISSAUGA, CANADA (BNO NEWS) — Peel Regional Police are searching for witnesses after a shooting at a Mississauga night club on Friday, police said on Saturday.

The incident at the Body English Night Club happened at approximately 2.45 a.m. when a suspect was inside the club. The suspect eventually took a handgun from his waistband after a physical altercation with another visitor of the club.

According to police, the suspect then opened fire, shooting several rounds into the ceiling and another round towards a crowd. He then fled the club on foot.

The person who was involved in the fight leading to the shooting suffered minor injuries. He was identified as a 24-year-old Brampton man.

The suspect is being described as a black male, 5′7″ in height and has a slim build and a shaved head. He is believed to be approximately 20 years old.
