Brian Mann and his girlfriend Tayana Jacques say they were on their way to get coffee on a Saturday morning last April when they began laughing at a cute Corgi on the street.
Seconds later, they say, a police car pulled up beside them on St-Laurent Blvd. and an officer told them they were laughing too loudly.
When Mann asked if there was a law against walking and laughing, two officers came out of the car saying they would define what was too loud, according to the couple.
Wanting to avoid a confrontation, Jacques says, she turned to walk home. But before she could leave, the officers pinned her against the vehicle, searched her pockets for drugs and handcuffed her.
