Long road to recovery for family of girl killed in drunk driving crash

The family of a five-year-old girl killed by an alleged drunk driver have yet to recover from what will be a “very difficult journey,” family members say.

The five-year-old, identified as Lux Peyton Gomez, died from her injuries in hospital in August. Her parents and siblings suffered serious, non-life threatening injuries.

Kamau Davis-Locke, 23, of Newmarket faces 12 charges, including impaired driving causing death, criminal negligence causing death, and driving impaired over the legal limit causing death and bodily harm.
